Automotive giant Chery has announced that Wuhu will host the company’s 2026 International Business Summit, bringing together industry leaders from across the globe to discuss the future of mobility and sustainable transportation.

The summit, scheduled to take place in the spring of 2026, is expected to attract over 5,000 participants including automotive executives, technology innovators, government officials, and media representatives from more than 50 countries.

“Wuhu is not just our headquarters; it’s the heart of Chery’s innovation ecosystem,” said a company spokesperson. “Hosting this summit here demonstrates our commitment to the city and our confidence in its infrastructure and hospitality.”

The event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and exhibitions showcasing Chery’s latest electric vehicle technologies, autonomous driving systems, and sustainable manufacturing practices. A dedicated startup showcase will provide a platform for emerging companies in the mobility sector.

Wuhu’s mayor expressed enthusiasm about the announcement, noting that the summit will generate significant economic activity and reinforce the city’s reputation as China’s “Automobile Capital.” Local hotels and businesses are already preparing for the anticipated surge in visitors.
