So it’s been a couple of months since I arrived here in Beijing and time has flown by. I’ve been greatly blessed with friends in the teachers and students at the school, and friends from the Church. I also began Chinese lessons a few weeks ago. So far I’ve learnt how to say things such as:

It's been 3 swift weeks here in Beijing, and I've still managed to find the time for bible study amidst a busy week, even being a little far outside of the city. I've surprised myself how easy I can navigate myself too, without the need for iMaps (thankfully, or i might end up in a lake somewhere- just kidding).
I'm just about coming to terms with the fact I'm still signing my primary students' books every lesson- what a weird feeling!

So I've been in Beijing for a few days now and, of note so far, I've lost my wallet, eaten donkey meat and found out I'm not actually pregnant.
There is a vast difference in atmosphere from the bustling urban area of the city centre to where I'm actually staying- a small 'town' called Taihu where, walking back from school at night, there are barely any cars on the road.
